The president of the International Federation on Obstacle Course Race (OCR/ Obstacle Sports), the Federation Internationale de Sports d’ Obstacles (FISO) or World OCR, Ian Adamson is in town for a 10-day visit.
On Thursday, November 15, Adamson paid a courtesy call on Philippine Olympic Committee President Ricky Vargas at the POC offices in Pasig City. He was accompanied by POC General Counsel Al Agra, who is also the President of the Pilipinas Obstacle Sports Federation (POSF, the POC recognized NSA for Obstacle Sports) and OCR Asia as well as treasurer of FISO/World OCR.
Adamson is regarded as the most successful adventure athlete of all time, with 10 world championship wins, 22 world championship podium finishes, 18 international championship titles, and gold, silver and bronze medals at the /ESPN X-Games.
He is a three-time Guiness world record-holder for endurance kayaking and has competed internationally in adventure racing, triathlon, canoeing, kayaking, orienteering and sailing.
Also on hand to welcome Adamson were POC Chairman Abraham Tolentino and Secretary-General Patrick Gregorio.
