Leipzig University International Coaching Course
Every year, as part of the foreign cultural and educational policy of the German Federal Foreign Office, the Sports Faculty of Leipzig University organizes two courses of postgraduate studies for coaches and physical education teachers coming from developing countries according to the DAC list of the OECD. Courses have a duration of
5 months and are offered in four alternating specializations and languages.
For participants (up to 40 years) who have:
- a higher education degree in the field of sports
- experience as active athletes or as physical education teachers/coaches and
- good physical and psychological aptitudes
Content of the course:
- Specialization (theory and practice)
- General Science of Training
- Sports Medicine
- Sports Didactics
- Sports Psychology
- Sports Management
- Strength Training
- German Language
- The postgraduate study course is financed by the Foreign Office of the Federal Republic of Germany.
- Each participant receives a monthly grant.
- Participants have to bear all costs for traveling to Leipzig and back to their home country themselves.
Olympic Academy Master's Program
Greetings from the Philippine Olympic Committee!
The deadline for applications for Master’s Degree Programme with the “Olympic Studies, Olympic Education, Organization and Management of Olympic Events” has been set for 15th of June 2019.
This programme, to be held in the International Olympic Academy in Ancient Olympia and the University of Peloponnese in Sparta Greece, will have two semesters in Greece (September 12, 2019 – November 15, 2019 and April 27, 2020 – June 4, 2020) and a third dedicated to preparation of the master thesis.
The Master’s Degree Programme in Olympic Studies constitutes an innovation in the Olympic Movement at an international level and is supported by the Olympic Solidarity (International Olympic Committee) with a number of scholarships.
The tuition fee per student for the three semesters is 3,000.00 Euros, which is due and payable in two (2) installments. Applicants interested in applying for a scholarship through OS, which can cover for the 3,000.00 Euros tuition fee, may declare it in the application form and contact the POC for further information.
The rest of the total cost of the programme is covered by the IOA and sponsors.
